1:21.6 is a race fastest lap. You can bet your house 2015 cars won't get within 2-3s of that, as that would make them some 4s faster than last year. My point being, like Hamilton suggests, they are not getting the tyres to work properly because of the low temperatures. More to your point: he doesn't specifically state that he dislikes the mediums only, you may provide a source to that statement. So because the tyres are not in there normal environment, I personally do not think 2sec delta between SS and M is realistic."My first impression of the tyres is not spectacular, but maybe when we get to hotter conditions it will be better."

This is a truly impressive lap time, taking into account the compound and the current temperatures in Barcelona.
