The power of the stewards is immense. They can suspend time as well as drivers

Why the hell didn’t they stop the three hours after one hour so they still had the option of a full race distance if the weather improved? Idiots.

And now we’ve binned the 3 hour rule. #-o
They have the power to do that, its in the regs.
Indeed. But it’s rules removing rules.

It’s just all so bloody confusing.

Is Dr Emmett Brown on the stewards team this weekend? Maybe he brought his DeLorean?? 😂

If it's wet and stays wet then Russell has a chance of not only a podium but also the win. If it starts to dry even a little bit, he'll get eaten alive. His best hope is for the race to be wet enough that a dry line never forms and the teams have to run wets and then inters. He could very easily get an undercut if he's in touch at the pitstops.
I hope tomorrow will be rain but not so heavy, I don't want to see drivers in the boxes 8)
Your wish did not come true

Funnily enough, track was good enough for the GP3 kids to race on :?

It's quite perplexing, one can only wonder what they were waiting 2 hours for, especially since they had a good indicator that the rain could be ramping up - maybe the need a unanimous vote?. If they were really to err on the side of caution this is what they should've done and by this I mean your suggestion.

Medical car driver saying the track is fine but visibility is the problem. So no more blaming the tires here I'm afraid - if the drivers don't want to race then that's on them and their nerves.

no. regulations say, that there needs to be visibility between marshalls. If there is too much spray, that‘s not possible

I guess the local forecast is looking better over the next few hours otherwise they would have just cancelled it surely

But I want to get more info if it is possible, if there is someone know it. What was that torq settings Alonso's steering wheel.Torq 4 Torq 5. Is it only about electric power usage ?

Barmoetric pressure has gone up a bit, if it goes up a bit more we'll be able to race I reckon.

Uh, what?

I don’t think you understand how you are using those terms. Maybe like a half understanding.

Yes, rising pressure indicates rain slowing down, but where is that taken at, what else is in the forecast, and there is no set rule that once it crosses a certain threshold that things are fine.

From a grip standpoint, they could have started this on time
