September deadline for Donington Park upgrades
After having taken the British Grand Prix event from Silverstone, Donington Park has yet to make significant upgrades to its circuit. It´s timeline is getting shorter everyday, as it will host the 2010 British Grand Prix, and many changes have yet to be made in order for it to be allowed to host a Formula One Grand Prix event. But FOM president Bernie Ecclestone will meet with Donington Park officials in September, in order to see how far the changes have gone.
Bernie Ecclestone told the ´Daily Telegraph´: "I am relying on what they told me they will deliver, and we have a September deadline, from memory, to see that all is as it should be. If it is not then we have four or five venues ready to stage a race."
