Last day at Sakhir for Ferrari
Second day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working once again at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain. Today saw this long test session held at the Sakhir circuit come to an end, having got underway back on 13th February.
The work programme centred mainly on development of the Bridgestone tyres. Michael Schumacher used both the cars at his disposal: in the morning he used the 248 F1 (55 laps completed, best time 1'30"723) while in the afternoon, he was at the wheel of the F2004 fitted with the power limited V10 engine, completing 47 laps, the quickest in 1'30"375. Before the midday break, Felipe Massa had done 36 laps with the F2004, with a best time of 1'29"958.
The Scuderia's preparations for the start of the Formula World Championship will resume on 27th February at the Mugello Circuit.
