BMW starts testing at Imola
The BMW Sauber F1 Team resumed testing today at Imola, where the team joined the Scuderia Toro Rosso Team that has been testing in Italy since yesterday. Jacques Villeneuve and Robert Kubica weren't able to elaborate the programmed schedule because of heavy rain showers.
Jacques Villeneuve:

Fastest lap: 1:30.804 min (lap 41)
Robert Kubica:
Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.06-04 / BMW P86 V8
Test kilometres today: 261 km (53 laps)
Fastest lap: 1:32.553 min (lap 26)
Programme both drivers: Due to the bad weather and track conditions it was not possible to carry out the programme as scheduled. Therefore, the team concentrated on start practices and system checks. To take advantage of the rainy weather conditions both pilots ran wet and intermediate tyre comparisons for Michelin.
According to the weather forecast good weather and track conditions are expected for tomorrow, which will enable the team to evaluate Michelin dry tyres. It will also focus on the assessment of aerodynamic parts. Cooling system tests are also scheduled .
