World Series by Renault to kick off

By on

The World Series by Renault are kicking off at 29 April at the Ciruit of Zolder in Belgium. The World Series by Renault were created last year and marks an important stage in the history of Renault Sport. The series is a mix of top class motorsport and fun activities aimed at all the family.

By merging the Formula Renault V6 and the World Series by Nissan championships, Renault Sport and RPM have created the World Series by Renault, which is raced in the new Formula Renault 3.5 singleseater. The drivers taking part all have an ultimate goal in mind: break into Formula 1. Robert Kubica has made it into F1 as test driver for the BMW Sauber F1 Team after winning the Formula Renault 3.5 championship in 2005.

A well-known breeding ground for talented young drivers, Formula Renault 2.0 is also part of the action, with the Eurocup and the Megane Thropy is an exclusive part of the World Series.

The World Series by Renault also give the spectators the unique opportunity to admire the F1 car of Renault in action. Heikki Kovalainen will take the track for a roaring demonstration.

We all know that Renault has a rich history in motorsport. Of course the cars that have marked the sporting history of the brand can not be forgotten. The spectators can visit the exhibitions of the cars at the World Series with cars such as Alpine A442 from the Le Mans 24 Hours or the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo from the Tour of Corsica.

The Renault World Series is a feast for the whole family. Dedicated children's areas, 'road safety' workshops, autograph sessions, access to the pit lane,...the spectators won't have a minute to be bored!

The World Series by Renault, it's for everybody...and it's free!
