Good first day for Ferrari as Massa is on top

First day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona. The morning was affected by rain, to such an extent that only Felipe Massa ventured out on track, working on development of Bridgestone rain tyres. In the afternoon, once the track was completely dry, Luca Badoer got down to work, working on a new components programme. Both drivers were at the wheel of a 248 F1.

The day in numbers was as follows: 99 laps for Felipe (best time 1.14.940) and 40 for Luca (1.15.867.) Testing at this circuit continues tomorrow: Luca Badoer will once again be on track, this time with Michael Schumacher alongside him.
