Bad day for Toro Rosso

By on

Both Toro Rosso drivers were unfortunite today as they will only start from 17th and 19th postion on the starting grid tomorrow and this when they were allowed an increase of 300rpm on the Cosworth rev-restricted V10.

Tonio Liuzzi “I had a lot of problems with the rear tyres on my run, as they were degrading. During qualifying, it felt as though I had no traction at all, which is strange because I had been hoping to at least move on to the next part of the session. The cool weather did not help us. It will be a long tough race tomorrow.”

Scott Speed “We knew we were going to struggle in qualifying, so we concentrated on getting as well prepared as possible for the race.
Given our tyre choice, I think we are looking quite good, especially as I think we will have an excellent race pace for tomorrow. Overtaking is hard to do here but you never know how things can turn out. We’ve been slow all weekend, but for us on this side of the garage, we are looking in reasonable shape for the race.”
