Trouble-free day for Red Bull in Belgian Ardennes

The Spa circuit is definitely the place to go if you like to experience all sorts of weather in a short period of time. Today started damp, then dried out for a while, before rain made a further appearance in the afternoon.

The wet track inevitably hampered progress on aero work, which was on the agenda along with testing new mechanical components. However, given that there is a good chance of encountering rain when the Belgian Grand Prix takes place here on 16 September, today was a useful opportunity to evaluate the Bridgestone wet weather tyres. The RB3 ran trouble-free today. Tomorrow, Mark Webber takes over behind the wheel from David Coulthard.
