I won't replace him - van der Garde
Giedo van der Garde, the Spyker F1 Team's test driver, said today that he will not be the one replacing Christijan Albers in the F8-VII. In an interview with 'GPupdate.net' the youngster made it clear that he wants to finish his season in the World Series by Renault and that the issue with Super Aguri still hasn't been settled.
Van der Garde said: "First of all it is very sad what happened with Chris. He had a difficult start of the season, quit his management and all of a sudden there is a problem with one of his sponsors. It can't get any worse for a driver. I guess that's life, but it doesn't make it a lot of fun obviously."
On the question if he would be the one to replace his compatriot, Giedo said: "No, I won't replace him. I just want to finish my World Series by Renault season first, cover more miles in a Formula 1 car and see what will happen next season. And apart from that there is still an issue with the Super Aguri team, so I can't race yet. We first need to settle that case with them before I could race."
