Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone has fueled the rumours that Michael Schumacher will make a comeback to the pinnacle of motorsport with Mercedes GP next year. Speaking with the British newspaper 'The Times', Ecclestone said he'd be suprised if Schumi is not driving in F1 in 2010.

When asked by 'The Times' if Robert Kubica might leave the newly-purchased Renault F1 Team to join Mercedes, Ecclestone said: "Well, they've got Michael haven't they? They won't want Michael and Kubica.

"I'd be surprised if Schumacher is not driving for them but I don't know if that's fact. It looks like it's going to happen."

The latest reports from Germany suggest that Schumacher will test a GP2 car at Abu Dhabi before the end of the year and that he will make a decision after the test session.
