Fisico joins test team
The Renault F1 Team continued his testing programme today at Paul Ricard in good weather conditions. After a short rest following the Australian GP, Giancarlo Fisichella joined the test team yesterday night and carried on today with the testing programme of the team.
He remained focused on chassis set up improvements and completed this afternoon an important tyre programme to prepare Imola. Fisi felt comfortable in the car and the datas seemed good as confirmed Christian Silk this evening: We were very productive this morning and our programme was mainly focused on chassis set up. During the afternoon, we completed an interesting tyre programme with Michelin which should be important for Imola. Our results of the day were very positive.”
Heikki Kovalainen has not had a busy day. However, he set the third fastest laptime of the day in 1’04.274. He will go on with his programme tomorrow for the last day of this session.
